Shaman Leveling Spec for 4.3.4 Cataclysm going forward

Elemental  Shaman Special Abilities

• Thunderstorm: This deals damage, knocks your opponents backwards, is also an instant, and can be used while you are stunned.
• Elemental Fury: This will increase the critical damage bonus of your Searing and Magma totems, it also increases the critical damage of your fire, frost, and nature spells to boot.
• Shamanism: Your Lightening Bolt, Lava Burst, and Chain Lightning are granted a shorter casting time and an additional benefit from your spellpower.
• Mastery: Elemental Overload – You have a chance for your Lightning bolt, Chain Lightening, or Lava Burst to cast the same spell on the target at 75% power with no threat generation and no additional casting cost. Stacking Mastery Rating enhances the chance of this occurring.

Elemental Leveling Spec for Cataclysm

1. 2/2 Convention – Reduces the mana cost of your damaging offensive spells.
2. 3/3 Acuity – Increases the critical chance of your spells and attacks
3. 3/3 Elemental Precision – Increases Fire, Frost, and Nature damage by 3% and raises your hit rating by an amount equal to the spirit on your gear and any spirit raising effects on you.
4. 2/2 Call of Flame – Elevates damage done by Fire Totems, Fire Nova , and Lava Burst.
   
5. Elemental Focus - Your non-periodic criticals  reduce the mana cost of your next 2 spells by 40%
6. 2/2 Elemental Reach – Raises the range of Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Fire Nova, and Lava Burst spells by 10 yards and also the range of your shock spells by 15 yards.
7. 2/2 Rolling Thunder – Damage dealt by Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning, with Lightning Shield active, has a chance to return a bit of mana and add a charge counter to Lightning Shield.
8. 2/2 Elemental Oath – Your Clearcasting from Elemental Focus gives you 10% more damage, also all party or raid members with 12 yards have a 5% added critical effect.
   
9. 3/3 Lava Flows – Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your lava burst spell by an additional 24% and the periodic damage of your flame shock by 60%, in addition when your flame shock is dispelled, you gain 30% spell haste for 6 seconds.
   
10. Elemental Mastery - Spell haste for 15 sec, also Fire, Frost, and Nature damage is increased. Your next Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, or Lava Burst becomes instant.
11. 2/2 Earth’s Grasp – Roots nearby targets for 5 seconds when Earthbind Totem is cast.
12. 2/2 Concussion – Small increase to the damage of your Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Thunderstorm, Lava Burst, and Shock spells.
13. 3/3 Feedback – Your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells reduce the remaining cooldown on your Elemental Mastery by 3 seconds.
14. 2/2 Lava Surge – Your Flame Shot periodic ticks have a chance to reset the cooldown on Lava Burst.
15. Earthquake – Causes an Earthquake in a targeted area, causing damage and knocking targets down.
16. You are now level 69 – have spent 31 points, and can branch out to new tree if you wish
17. 3/3 Concussion -Increases damage to a bunch of spells by 6%
    
18. Fulmination – Your Earthshock spell consumes surplus charges of your Lightning Shield and returns their total damage to the enemy target,
19. Reverberation – Reduces the cooldown of your shock spells and Windshear by 1 second.
20. 1/3 Improved Shields – The effects of your shields is increased by 5%
21. You have used all your points and can spec as you see fit from level 81 onward.

Important Stats for your Elemental Shaman Leveling Spec

1. Spirit: Your Elemental Precision talent gives you Hit Rating equal to the Spirit you have from gear and  other effects.
2. Intelligence: Intelligence now raises  Spellpower as well as your total mana, so it is quite important.
3. Stamina: You just need enough to stay breathing. Go with Spirit and Int when you aren’t dying much or at all
4. Strength: is worthless to you
5. Agility: is also worthless to you

Thank you for joining me at Shaman Leveling Spec. Just so you have a some degree of background info on myself, so you have some frame of reference. I’ve been a World of Warcraft addict for about four years now. I still take part in creating new alternate characters just for fun or sometimes to help a friend navigate through Azeroth, but I’ve always disliked the grind of having to level up my characters. In the past I have gone to outside websites for help get questing paths or buggy game add-ons that don’t get updated when the next WoW patch goes into effect. As anybody who really likes playing MMO games usually knows already, you can go about questing only if you want to give it the old college try, but it’s never quite as efficient as grinding it out, and in many cases it’s impossible, unless of course the game creators actually build quest based leveling into the game they are making. (As they did with Burning Crusade, Lich king and Cataclysm).

While playing WoW for a bunch of years you begin to accept that there are just a lot of quests you miss out on in the course of playing WoW. The main issue is all the many different quests are too scattered throughout the realms to be worth an attempt to level off of because you can’t keep track of them without going to an outside source or know which ones give out the most experience points, from your own memory or having to spend time on Thottbot. There is just not enough time in the day, at least for me there isn’t.
